v0.2.8 (September 12, 2023)#
This update presents a series of minor modifications and bug corrections following the v0.2.7 release.
API change The
ProcessingandZCclasses have been updated towatex.methods.em.EMAPandwatex.methods.em.MT, respectively. This modification facilitates the processing of MT - EDI data using method chaining, illustrated as follows:>>> import watex as wx >>> edi_data = wx.fetch_data('edis', samples=25, return_data=True) >>> zo = wx.methods.MT().fit(edi_data) >>> # EDI data processing to suppress bad frequencies, remove interferences, and eliminate static shift effects. >>> zo.drop_frequencies(tol=.2).remove_noises().remove_static_shift(r=10, nfreq=4) # with a 10m radius
Fix Addressed a bug related to static shift removal in AMT data. The
watex.methods.em.ZC.get_ss_correction_factor()method now applies correction factors individually for each station, as opposed to a universal application across all stations. This update also introduces the option for users to manually specify correction factorsss_fxandss_fy.Feature Introduced
watex.utils.plotutils.plot_tensors(), enabling the visualization of resistivity and phase tensors, as well as real and imaginary impedance.Feature Implemented
watex.utils.torres_verdin_filter()for calculating the adaptive moving average of data arrays, leveraging Torres and Verdin methodologies.Feature
watex.methods.em.filtered_noises()now efficiently removes noise from individualxx,yy,xy, oryxcomponents.Feature
watex.utils.exmath.butterworth_filter()establishes a bandpass filter using a Butterworth filter technique, optimizing the processing of Audio-Frequency Magnetotelluric data by excluding frequencies outside a specified range.Feature
watex.methods.em.ZC.remove_noises()enhances data quality by eliminating undesired artifacts and smoothing the dataset.Enhancement
watex.utils.read_data()has been upgraded to support reading data in both txt and numpy formats (.npy and .npz).Enhancement The
watex.view.TPlot.plot_rhophi()function has been refined to alter the plotting style from previous versions, now accommodating a kind parameter for diverse station plotting.
